Look what's been left in our pond

It's years since we last had any frogspawn.  For several years, after we created the pond, we had large quantities of frog spawn and would often stand at the front door and watch the blackbirds taking beaks full of tadpoles to feed their young ... and then nothing for years.  So we're really excited and feel honoured to have been chosen again.

Mum's had a mixed day today - this morning she felt good enough to cook her own porridge (a first) but since then she's done a whole lot of sleeping.  I've been awake since at least 4.30, so I hope she's not too ready to party tonight ;)
