Emily Barker playing in the yurt at our local

Rodda, our local publican, has arranged a music and ale festival over this holiday weekend and it is happening in a large yurt erected in the garden of his pub, the Crown and Sceptre.  He has called it 'Stroud Unplugged', and I went this evening to see Emily Barker playing acoustically.  We have seen her several times in the last few months, and enjoy her music very much.  We are lucky as she now lives in our neighbourhood and always seems to contribute to community events like this.

She wasn't feeling well tonight but still managed to put on a great show, which she closed with an encore when she invited a young woman in the audience to come up and sing a song with her, completely unrehearsed.

My pictures were a bit grainy as the lighting was constantly varying and never very bright, it being in a tent, but I like this picture as it shows her with her harmonica too, and looking at the camera.
