A Day Worth Recording

By Cheeseminer

Burial

Burial seems to have been past owner's method of disposal here.  I'd expect to find building rubble in the garden of a new house - but not one 200 years old!

Today was another digger day, with the primary aim of smoothing the gradient down into the middle garden from the car park; mainly so it is potentially accessible by disabled buggies.  Managed to get it down to about 1-in-7.  (Cantabrigian readers have now fainted at the idea of a gradient of such magnitude; and in a garden too)

In the same area was a mound.  Thinking this was soil I could use to level things up, I dug in - only to find quite a lot of house in there.

Which begs the question, which bit of house is missing and should these bricks be holding up something important?
