Sgwarnog: In the Field

Grey Wagtail

Another fine day and a chance for an extended walk around some of my favourite local haunts

The butterflies were everywhere: Peacocks and Small Tortoiseshells in every corner of the moor.

In the ford on Old Wood Lane I disturbed this Grey Wagtail which took to the tree above. Still close enough for a nice portrait.

At Weecher I watched a Sgwarnog ghost in and out of the soft rush.

In Spring Wood, the first Bluebells amongst drifts of Wood Anenome.

Perhaps the oddest sight of the day: a bat flying in daylight over Tong Park dam.
