Cromer, Seafront and Rooftops

The sun shone for much of the day but a cool sea mist came and went. It has been a busy day in the garden and making holiday arrangements for the summer. HL is off to Denmark in the morning to visit her mum so I will be keeping the home fires burning and running the rural taxi service over the weekend.

The yellow building to the left is known as the Bath House. It was recently offered for sale and I learned something about its origins from the sales description which says,

Originally built in 1814 as a subscription reading room, bathing facilities were added in 1824 and water was pumped from the sea into tanks so that gentleman could come from far afield to take the waters. The present building essentially dates from 1836.
