Colway Lane

Lots of stuff happening this weekend. Marian's brother George is coming to stay and tomorrow we have a first outing for the 'Commitments' band. We're certainly not fully rehearsed yet but one of our members is having a party for a major birthday and suggested we might have a try out as part of the musical extravaganza that's happening. Judging by this week's rehearsal and picking the best of the numbers, I think we'll have a lot of fun and give ourselves a bit of a boost as we head towards the real performance at the village festival in June.

This is another 'used to be road', long unadopted and just a tractor (and horse) freeway now. A lot of the track is bounded by tallish hedges but it opens up a bit as you go along. I liked this view of a bend in the road and even the metal gates look OK to me. 

It's been a bit misty again today so a rural wander seemed to be a good plan. The wind's a bit fresher now though and it looks like the mist is being blown away.
