A GIANT LEAP OF FAITH!

Our church was a church plant from a large Baptist Church in Swindon and has been established in the Lawns area of Swindon since 19th March 1995.

John Roe, has been our full time Minister since 2006 but he has now decided to relinquish that position and move on - but at the moment, doesn't know what he will do or where God is leading him and his wife, Janet.

To do that is a giant leap of faith - but as Christians, we believe that God is involved in every part of our lives, and I am sure that if God is calling John out of Lawn Community Church to do something else, then HE has it all in hand!

Whilst praying for John and Janet this morning, one of our Elders said "You can't see round corners, but God can - and says to you both, 'I am with you'"!  WOW - we have an amazing God!

They will still be living in the area, so we will still see them and it will be good and exciting to see what God has planned for them in the coming days, weeks and months.

As John himself said, "This is the end of a chapter, but not the end of the story!"

My collage shows John and Janet as they were prayed for - John playing and singing "The Best is Yet to Come" and some of our young people - who didn't even have to be bribed to have their photograph taken!

We finished the service with the hymn "Be Thou My Vision" - enjoy this version - ours was a little more upbeat!

“Never be afraid to trust an
unknown future to a known God.”

Thank you everyone for your kind comments on yesterday's Blip - we were very tired and felt quite emotional when we got home, so apologies for the lack of response from me.
