A Day Worth Recording

Pieris

When we moved to Cambridge one impulse buy at the garden centre was a Pieris. A couple of years later we dug it up (it not being healthy) only to discover that it was had been desperately keeping its roots on the original pot-shaped bit of peat, avoiding the lime'y native soil.

In Malvern, on the other hand, we've several large specimens in the garden and the young foliage is just glowing.

Business stuff in the morning; gardening in the afternoon - making some preparations for the Annual Party this weekend.
