Fireday

The bonfire pile(s) had grown to a substantial size yesterday.  We held off burning anything yesterday because it was too nice a day, and today was scheduled to be dull but dry, and generally more suited to smoking the atmosphere..

Lit the first pile this morning and have been feeding it all day with a mixture of prunings, bindweed roots and rotting heaps of branches from tree fellings in the past.  (We've left more than sufficient 'habitat piles' of logs in case anyone's wondering.)

Looking forward to soaking aching muscles in a nice hot bath.
