St James' at Sundown

St James's church is a Grade 1 listed building, dating from the thirteenth century. It stands above our village and catches the setting sun light beautifully. The church is in my mind at the moment as there are reports of minor structural damage both in the church and in nearby residents homes, and fingers are pointing to blasting at the near by quarry, which has in recent years extended operations closer to the village. Hopefully investigations will show there is no link between the quarry and the damage, and it's just a coincidence. But the church has stood fairly intact for some eight hundred years... hmm.
