Holiday Cottage

Backblip

Do not adjust your screen - the cottage really is built at an angle:-)  Woke to glorious sunshine this morning, but one step outside the door told us it was bitterly cold, with a real bite to the wind.  Our planned walk lasted about 10 minutes and then I had to give up as I was so cold:-)

Instead, we braved the pot-holes etc and visited a couple of the castles this area is famous for.  Our first stop was Balvenie Castle in Dufftown, which is having major repair work done to it to prevent further deterioration, so the scaffolding rather spoiled the photos!  Our second visit was to Fyvie, an 800-year old castle near Turriff in Aberdeenshire which was surrounded by daffodils and would have made a wonderful picture, except it started to rain!

Which is why you got our cottage instead!!
