Wormsloe Plantation....

....closed & locked their gates, so we couldn't get in!
I had looked up what time it opened, but had never checked to see if there was a day of the week that it was closed, & apparently there is---Mondays! So we drove a little further & took the road that borders the marsh on one side & is full of beautiful, big old houses on the other, which was really pretty! It amazes me that they don't disturb the old trees, & on this road one of the trees took up the whole right side, leaving only the left lane for both directions of traffic to travel on.
We'd said a final goodbye to our fellow blippers at breakfast, so left Savannah & drove about 6 hours, stopping for the day just past Atlanta  in Roswell, Georgia. Had a sprinkling of rain on the way, but also blue skies for awhile, & just missed (thank goodness) the severe thunderstorms & hail that swept the area just before we got there! We're going to explore Roswell tomorrow before heading up toward Bowling Green, Kentucky. Hopefully all the rain will have stopped! :)
