Wellington Chapel

This is my entry for the Wide Angle Wednesday Challenge, kindly hosted this week by Paladian.

Our theme today is "interior" and I decided our local Minster would give me a bit of scope as regards size and interest;  I've used a shot of the Wellington Chapel.

Halifax Minster, was the home of the Duke of Wellington Regiment which is now the 3rd battalion of the Yorkshire Regiment.  In 1951 the church’s south choir aisle was adopted by the Regiment as its chapel,  and among the Regimental Colours previously displayed were those carried at Waterloo and those borne during the Crimean War and the Abyssynian Campaign. .
