Yellowhammer

I captured this Yellowhammer at RSPB Dearne Valley;   I'd been here once before but after today I thinks I'll probably find myself becoming a regular.  It's quite a large site, with 5 large lakes and several small ponds so there's plenty water fowl and general "pond life"  too.

I almost missed this bird as we were on the point of leaving when a couple  told me they had just seen a Yellowhammer by the garden, and luckily for me he and his mate were still about.  I got shots of them both but I like this one, as I think  it shows off his lovely bright colour.
