I watch them go.........

Despite the weather forecast, we had brilliant sunshine and wonderful clouds on Day Two of the Haltwhistle Spring Walking Festival.

I went to meet the long walkers at Limestone Corner, not far along their 14 mile walk from Brocolitia to Corbridge. Peter gave a short talk on the Romans and how they tried to quarry at this point, having to give up and divert the Wall.

I tried to walk a short way with the group, but had to accept that I can't do it yet.  I did drive to meet them at lunchtime when they stopped at St Oswald's tearoom.

Pits, Poets and Peewits went off well too.

I have to look forward to when I can walk again.
