Derelict mill

Most of today has been spent helping Pete produce a Powerpoint presentation for a talk he's giving next Saturday. This involved photographing a number of insects and going into Peterborough to add images of particular places he was planning to talk about. Most of these were not far from the River Nene, and as we were walking along the embankment I realised I didn't have an image of the Whitworth's Mill, which is one of the more characterful buildings in the area.

The South Bank of the Nene is all scheduled for re-development, so I'm not sure how long it will look like this. I'm pretty certain that all the silos and corrugated iron parts of the complex will be demolished, but it would be good to see the old brick core  renovated and used positively.
