Crab apple

Thorpe Wood looked perfect in the low morning sun, which illuminated the emerging hazel and oak leaves, startling in their acid greenness. The floor of the wood was awash with bluebells, and the ancient crab-apples, so understated for most of the year, were dressed in a a cloud of frothy pink. The mixed scents of bluebells and blossom was intoxicating, it's sweetness tempered by the cool morning air. Difficult to choose a single image, so I've added a couple of extras to try and encapsulate the time of year.
