Pistil

A quick one today, as the morning was spent at a meeting on a drain bank north of Spalding, which was surprisingly chilly thanks to the fresh northerly wind. We were there to monitor the progress of the Deptford Pink, and after a bit of a search, found a number of very healthy looking plants.

Later Chris, Pete and I are off to Surrey, to experience the joy of two days of fieldwork in cold winds and heavy showers. Alex and Ben are taking care of the house and cats and have promised a lovely meal for our return on Thursday evening. I can't wait....
