Lost garden

Not all lost in the heavy overnight frost, of course, but the bedding plants in the hanging baskets had that dark, limp appearance of frost damage from which they will not recover. Tried to convince myself that it hadn't been so cold, but then saw the thick ice on the wheelie bin as I put it out. Should have looked out for the forecast and brought the plants in.

To stretch my legs after yesterday I went for a wander in the Estate, where the white flowers on a rhododendron in the middle of no-where seemed similarly moribund. Ended in the Lost Garden where the derelict gates perpetuated my feeling of melancholy.
