Boys and Girl

This was one of the most interesting things I have ever seen.  A female mallard duck flew by and landed on the lake,  Immediately several male mallards swarmed her trying to be the one to mate with her.  At first it looked like several males were going to mate with her; they almost drowned the poor girl.  But, one male was successful, and the female and her new mate swam off together and the other males swam off in another direction.  I always had seen mallards go through a courtship.  But apparently, the virgin females must be scarce.
