Parsley and Basil

Another brilliantly sunny day although quite cold... not that I took advantage of the sun at all, spending the morning doing admin and washing, and one and a half hours of the afternoon asleep on the settee.  But I've done lots of walking etc. this last week, and it's obviously catching up with me! 

J and I were talking in the shop this morning, where I called briefly on my way home from work, about how it is that the people you meet along the way in life seem to serve the function of teaching you a much-needed lesson.  It's something I've known the theory of for a long time but it's only over the last six or so months that I've recognised it in action in my life.  Interesting.

I might go swimming when I've finished my cuppa...

p.s. I drove to the pool only to find that there was no lane swimming due to staff shortages. So I came home, I can't be bothered with having to avoid children.
