If you can't beat them...

Kirkstone Pass Inn

Due to the weather being too cool for the weather proofing to take properly we only did a half day at the Lodge doing some gardening.  After lunch we decided to have a run up the pass as when we set off from home in the morning the fells had a good snow cover and we felt their might be snow shots at the top of the pass.

As we approached the pass it was obvious that there wasn't going to be any snow, much of the fells had cleared.  However we went to the top of the pass and took shots down towards Windermere.  Then we retreated to the Inn for a warm up.  Once warmed (and refreshed) we went along to look down to Brotherswater but couldn't find a good view point.

We stopped half way down the pass with a good view point but little view due to the hail.  When things cleared we took shots down towards Brotherswater.  Just to round a good day off well we paused on the way home to try for some Red Deer shots but decided against any of them.

Clickychick has gone for a sot down to Brotherswater but I decided on the Inn standing at a very windswept 15oo feet at the top of the pass.
