Safer cars

Gothenburg was today's destination, to see the work that Volvo is doing on safer car technology, and to visit a new world class safety centre.

We watched a crash test taking place, in which a brand new car was catapulted into a metal pole to see how the body structure would stand up to the impact. Then we were shown tests involving an autonomous robot car avoiding a collision with a robotic cyclist.
