Emergence

The day ran away with me a bit. We had a much better morning than I'd expected and I should have taken advantage of it.

You know how it is though, things get in the way. While Marian's been away I've been quite happy to munch on a pork pie with loads of picallilli but today I made a lovely french onion soup, which I found to be quite time consuming. Normally for soup I'd just throw the ingredients in the soupmaker and bingo - whizz - it's all done. Not onion soup. It needs loads of gentle cooking and stirring. It was very good though and I'll do it again. 

So here is a lttle Iris that's going to be very pretty when it's planted out. For now it's in a little pot waiting patiently.
