Bowood 2015 #21 (Wednesday 29th April 2015)

On this trip to Bowood House and Gardens I began at Tractor Ted's Little Farm, who had a fresh retinue of animals - sheep and lambs, pigs, goats and a pair of calves. I walked through the gardens and down to the lake, looking at the geese and a pair of swans, who came and sat on the grass close to where I had sat down.

There were plenty of photo opportunities but in the end I decided to blip a simple photograph of this splendid Japanese maple that I passed in the House Hollow (the part of the grounds where the now-demolished bulk of Bowood House used to be) on the way back to the entrance. I also passed a couple of hares on the Archery Lawn along the way.
