Exeter

We caught the train from Dawlish to Exeter this morning. The weather forecast was not good so we thought a city visit might be a good idea.

We started by going to the Quays, Exeter's river and canal area, full of small shops, restaurants and walk/cycle ways. Also the historic Custom House, dating back to the 1600's.

Back in the city centre lunch was at the Real Food Company who have a cafe above its shop. We had an excellent meal of soup and rye bread made that morning in the bakery at the back of the shop downstairs.

After lunch we went to the cathedral to catch the two thirty guided tour, very interesting, and plenty of photos along the way.

To finish off we found a Nero on the way back to the station and had a drink.
