Is This Really A Bluebell?

Why are they called Bluebells, when clearly they are purple or mauve even? Today’s picture is of a so-called Bluebell, taken from above. It has been taken deliberately to show the deer damage to the ends of the leaves, which have been chewed off and have turned brown.

A trip into town this morning with my daughter to get our nails done, then as we did not have to do any shopping we returned home.

The Ocado lorry was booked for between 0730 hours and 0830 hours, but due to a problem with the warehouse the shopping did not arrive until the middle of the afternoon; an uncommon occurrence for Ocado.

Today’s Rant – so please feel free to ignore.

I have spent much of this afternoon clearing up after the builder who tramped mud all over the place. Fortunately the carpets will all be replaced when the building work is finished. He arrived at 0800 hours this morning to start work on the existing bathroom, but not long after he had arrived he went to the shop to get his sandwiches. He was then here for a short while, before he had to go out again to get materials. He left at 1400 hours having worked for a maximum of about one and a half hours. I am so pleased that we have a fixed price with interim payments, but he will not be getting any more money until everything is finished, to my satisfaction and he has left the site, never to be seen again.
