Post election blues. (In mono. obv.)

My faith in humanity was never strong but it's definitely ebbing away with each passing election.

That we have a majority of 'I'm alright Jack's means society in the UK must be affluent in the main. But the increase in food banks and decrease in affordable housing for all, the imminent end of free health care for all, the continuation of trident?  Clearly we're not alright collectively, but as long as enough of us are individually, then that's OK. We'll vote for self interest thank you very much.

Anyway, I collected boys, to school then spent my middle class earnings on middle class things preparing for middle class activities after school chucked them out; and preparing middle class lunch for my middle class parents who are coming tomorrow for a perfectly civilised middle class visit.

The kids had a riot climbing trees (not yet taxed) and we're all in bed early, knackered.

Even the wave of optimism many derived from the SNP 'victory', the prospect of 5 more years of Conservatives in power seemed very sobering on the streets today..
