It's a good job we have wi fi on holiday and I'm able to blip to keep a record of our trips otherwise I would totally forget where we have been and what we have done!

Today we returned, 10 years later to the beach of great beauty, Voidokilia. It's exactly as I remembered as it's a protected beach with a lagoon behind it so no sun beds or tat anywhere near it :). We walked on the white sand and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings as there was only another couple of people there.

Hit the road, the very quiet roads driving further up the west coast. The guide book said that Filiatra was a good stop but apart from mini Eiffel Tower on the roadside at the edge of town there wasn't much happening there. So we turned aroun and went into Marathopoli, time for a late lunch. Wandered about the town first though on a photo expedition and reached the harbour. An extended family of Romanians seemed to have set up camp among the trees. They have cabin vans with boards inside so the children sleep on top and the adults below.

Marathopoli looks on to the Ionian Sea, and we sat in a seafront taverna in the shade from the sun.

Off to Pylos later in the afternoon for an ice cream and then a meal which I mostly gave to the dog that was hanging around the restaurant.
