Westward

After the busyness of yesterday's celebrations we've had a nice relaxing day. Joseph cycled to a friend's house and we spent day with Rik's Mum and husband who are over visiting us. After lunch we went to a Channel Island Occupation Society Exhibition of artifacts and food. We tried parsnip coffee, tomato puree soup, milk biscuits and sugar beet syrup.  The organiser turned out to be a relation of my Mum's and it was great to chat with his parents who had been older children during the Occupation.

Afterwards we went for a lovely walk along St. Ouen's towards L'Etacq. This shot, taken using the green filter on my camera, shows the sea wall which constructed during WW2 by slave workers.
