Walking in Sunshine ... and don't it feel .......

Lovely 9 mile walk today, most of it vertical. Should have been 5 miles but my map reading hasn't improved. For the sake of both my marriage and my health all map reading duties will now be done by Mary.

After driving to Lynmouth (achingly beautiful drive) we walked to Watersmeet, designed and built in 1832 as a fishing lodge and romantic retreat by the Revd Walter Halliday, who was lord of the nearby manor. We then wandered around until finding the pub at Rockford, vertical yomp to Countisford and stunning walk back down to Lynmouth, from whence this blip originates. Elwin, you would have hated it.
