View from the Sohnreyhöhe

On this Ascension Day we had our modest climbing tour. Slowly walking all the way up to the Sohnrey Heights. That Solling-top which looks over Carlsheaven. Carefully watching our breathing rhythm in balance with the pace of our steps on the steep forest track. We seem to get back in shape rather well.

Once you reach this panoramic view, you find yourself on the edge of a deep abyss, an old deserted quarry, a save heaven for the wild down there. I know most of you will have your high altitude splendour drama almost directly in your backyard. But we Are Content with this Small Space which opens itself up far beyond the Weser valley over the fields around the Green Deiselberg southwards into the Nothern region of Hessen.

It is quiet up here in the woods. Even on a high celebration day, when many visitors invade the surroundings of our town to enjoy the many beautiful sites. This afternoon we only crossed two other walkers. A lot of split-off, broken-down, fallen trees, up there, since hurricane Niklas blew its way. We on the contrary were going upright, well afoot, resilient and nowhere out of breath. Transmitting our little contribution to a Universal Message of Hope.
