Honey Hole Drama

These ants, or at least others that look just like them, regularly feast at our Hummingbird feeders. The two larger ants were enjoying the sweetness when up over the edge climbed another ant, not of their kin. The interloper was immediately challenged and chased away. Not the best quality photo as it was taken in the early morning with a too long a lens, but I thought that you might enjoy the Drama. The 'extra photo' today is of a Red-shouldered Hawk. I looked up from the ant drama and there she was, in the Winged Elm tree on a branch which hangs over the pond. No doubt hunting for the frogs and snakes which call the pond home.
