Apple Blossom

A heartwarming concert last night in Cambridge from Christy Moore and Declan Sinnott. They played for over two hours without a break. Christy's repertoire is so extensive that I knew less than half the songs. It was good to discover some new ones. Wonderful stuff.
It has been a bright sunny day. A bit of work and then I had to drive over to a friend Cal's house for a meeting. Afterwards I took a few pictures of her garden. It's good to see someone else's garden for a change and she has some lovely plants. But the picture I liked the best is just a simple one of apple blossom.

This evening HL and I met up in Norwich and had supper at Frank's Bar and then went on to St Andrew's Hall where the Philharmonia Orchestra played Mendelssohn, Wagner and Schumann. Curiously enough they played The Hebrides Overture in which a sound poem of Fingal's Cave features; if it hadn't been for the bad weather, we would have visited Fingal's Cave and the Isle of Staffa last week, but the boat couldn't sail in the high wind.
