Himalayan Silver Birch Trees

What great timing to be leaving Norfolk! Today it poured with rain and would hardly have been a day for bird reserves or walks along the coast or through woodlands. On our return journey, we'd planned a stop at a bird reserve and/or a couple of National Trust properties. The first thought we had to abandon but managed visits to both Oxburgh Hall (in the rain) and Anglesey Abbey (in the sun!)

This shot was taken in the gardens of Anglesey Abbey towards the end of the afternoon when the sun remembered what it's job was and shone beautifully for much of our time there. These Himalayan silver birch trees were very unusual and made a very striking display. It's worth a look against the dark background of LARGE :))

I've included a photo from inside Oxburgh Hall and a reflection as extras.

Many thanks for all your comments, stars and hearts on yesterday's Patch of Brightness blip and for visiting my journal, whilst I'm away on holiday, even though I've not managed to comment very often - all very much appreciated!

Day 51 of Blipout2015, suggested by PaulFS,  making the most of the daylight by only blipping outdoor photos until the clocks change in October.
