Is it?

This afternoon I was watching two Great Tits flying in and out of a nest box in the garden. They were obviously feeding young and were working very hard, taking in caterpillars and bugs of all kinds. I took a lot of photos, but none that I really liked. It is very hard to focus when they are darting about so quickly.

Then this little one landed on the weather station. I assume it is a young Great Tit from another brood, but I could be wrong. I would not have expected a young one to have such distinctive colouring and I suppose it could be a very ruffled adult, but I think it looks much younger than the ones flying in and out of the nest box – see the one below. Perhaps someone has an idea about this.
