Lunch time view

We set off down one of my favourite roads to the West Country, the A303. Unfortunately, it being Bank Holiday Friday, it was everybody else's favourite road too! However, even in heavy traffic the scenery is lovely. The roadsides were thick with cow parsley with in places a few poppies mixed in. Away from the road the fields of rape were still showing yellow..
After we had cleared the Stonehenge traffic jam we diverted and found a pub we had discovered in January, The Prince Leopold. We had a snack lunch, knowing that J was preparing a dinner for us in the evening. Our table overlooked a river with a yellow meadow beyond.
Our family had arrived at our rented cottage before us. It is well appointed and I'm sure we'll be very comfortable for the week.
