Cat and Mouse, Part 3

Manchester this morning - the City Centre feels like (and is) one big construction site at the moment. It's going to be some time before it is all finished - 2017 - so we are all going to have to hope that the short term pain is worth the long term gain. I am sure that it will be, but worry about the short term impact.

To compound things, this moving protest is causing real problems. First of all Albert Square, then St Peter's Square, and now St Anne's Square. The legal process to remove the protestors takes weeks, and they just move to the next place (New Cathedral St next ?). It is touted as a rough sleepers protest, but I am not so sure. What it does make clear is how our legal system really does protect the rights of those who wish to protest - whatever the impact on everyone else. The bank holiday market in St Anne's Square has had to be cancelled, which will have caused some pain for some I guess.
