It's the weekend!

And a bank holiday weekend too, it will be lovely for Gavin to have Monday off.

Thanks for your kind comments on Adam's last day of school - it is the end of an era,  after14 years of schooling he had his last lessons yesterday. He will obviously be at school to write his exams and has Speech day on the last day of term (and is getting two prizes which is exciting...Biology and the instrumental prize). He also has his Leaver's Music Concert and another concert on Speech Day which will involve many music rehearsals as soon as his exams are over.

This morning Adam and a friend from the school choir were asked to sing with another choir at a civic service in Maidstone and were paid for their services! Adam was delighted to finally earn some money...until we pointed out that the cost of the petrol to get there probably equated to what he earned.

Today Gavin was busy doing chores around the house while I tackled that ever growing pile of ironing but now he is doing his favourite weekend activity which is reading the papers (soon to be accompanied by a cold beer I think). I hope to catch up with the final episode of Mad Men tonight
