Early Morning at the Lake.

Brrrr .... It was -5 C ..... yes minus 5 .... here in Blenheim early this morning. Time to get out the merino long johns and vests. I zoomed up to the Taylor Dam for a very quick dog walk. The low light on the trees on the other side of the lake was rather lovely.
We had a fire in the wood burner stove all day. That meant the house stayed nice and warm and was welcoming for two lots of visitors late this morning. It was sunny all day with no wind whereas not too far away some Cook Strait ferry trips had to be cancelled because of heavy swells at sea.
