I've felt a bit flat and tired yesterday. Doubtless a product of yesterday's evening expedition.

But an interesting day, punctuated by an excellent presentation on Shakespeare and iconoclasm, chairing some interviews and coffee with a colleague, was rounded off by an excellent drink with Willem and Christoph, both currently visitors at my institute. Both resident in Amsterdam, neither is Dutch, and indeed only Christoph actually works in the city. A little snippet of academic cosmopolitanism.

Settling down to a quiet evening.
