Isola Superiore

A trip over to Stresa today to meet friends from California. This a car journey of about one and a half hours. We spent a pleasant afternoon with them and then retired to our hotel. Strictly speaking it was not necessary to stay over, but we thought it would be nice to revisit Lago Maggiore for a couple of days. The Photograph shows part of the view from the terrace of our room. This is the Isola Superiore. Having feturned to our room the evening was quite warm, so wee were able to sit on the terrace for a while. I was surprised how many boats were moving around on the lake depite it being about 10 PM, but then there are a few restaurants and even hotels n this island.
