Stargate

I did an aerial view of Maesycwmmer Viaduct, Near Caerphilly (here) and mentioned that it is the home of Stargate. Someone asked for a photo of it so I'm only too happy to oblige.

Those not in the know, see the sculpture, "Wheel o Drams" by Andy Hazell, as an unusual piece of art formed from a circle of coalmining trucks to commemorate the industrial heritage of this locality within the history of the South Wales valleys.

The educated locals know it better as "The Stargate" and are well aware of what it is capable of.

For those of you who don't know, "Stargate"  is a military device conceived from alien technology that enables instantaneous travel across the cosmos. (The film Stargate was released on October 28, 1994 and spawned sequels films.)

Maesycmmer is the last place in the cosmos that you'd expect it to be and that's why it's here - a double bluff!

I've managed to re-create what some locals say they have seen at odd times. Probably the merging of parallel galaxies?
