Derwentwater from Keswick

... with Catbells beyond - and a nostalgic view of the lovely rowing boats. Took this snap before saying goodbye to the Lakes for this trip. We called at Ambleside on the way down-country. For the first time I set eyes on the 'iconic' (sorry - such an overused word!) tiny one-up, one-down house built on the bridge. It was open so we were also able to go inside. I'd often seen it in pictures, on calendars and postcards, so it was interesting to see the real thing. I won't add to the plethora of postcard and calendar images by blipping it here.
