Garden reflections

If you look large, you might be able to see an upside-down S. We had a lazy day -- bought a freshly roasted chicken from Jean-François and had it for lunch in the garden along with home-made bread and the ratatouille I made yesterday. We drank blanquette de Limoux for no reason other than to celebrate the fact that it's summer -- 29 degrees in the shade.

Then we stretched out on our new sun loungers. I was reading the next book club offering, The Miniaturist. So compelling that I kept dozing off and waking half an hour later to find I needed to move into another patch of shade. After 5 hours of this we were ready for home. It's good to have a really lazy day once in a while.
