Mill Street Gardens

We went to Warwick today to visit Maureen and Ian.  Although cold, after all it is the end of May, but not wet, we decided to visit Mill Street Gardens in the middle of the town.

These wonderful gardens that raise money for charity by charging a minimal entrance fee (£2.50) belong to a private house that nestles between the river Avon and Warwick Castle.  Last year they raised over £10000 pounds.

Whilst there we were able to see the four thirty firing of the castle Trebuchet , a medieval catapult. Unfortunately in my keenness to capture the moment I was just a few seconds too early and the flaming projectile was just taking off.
