Viking Neptun

13.1C and bright in the morning. A shower before lunch. Cloud building through the afternoon. Rain and heavy wind due later. Wind to 24 mph with gusts to 38 mph at 3pm.

Maeve the Deerhound was out in the back garden most of the morning even though it was windier and felt colder. I fed and watered all the greenhouse plants.

I took delivery of the new boiler and bits and pieces for the installation before lunch.

Maeve and I went for our walk after lunch. We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. We turned right at Craigmill farm and went down the track to the shore road. The offshore supply ship Viking Neptun was stopped offshore. There were dark clouds to the South and West and sunny clear weather to the East and North. We came back along the cycle path and round in a long loop, heading into Carnoustie then up the main road before turning along for home.

Later it is forecast to become very windy with rain in the evening and overnight.
