Breakfast on high

Mr. Oriole is providing nest service this morning for his family, high in the maple tree. He seems as busy with his feeding duties as he is bright.

We had a wonderful time at M's retirement party last night. Great skits that only kindergarten teachers could pull off, and a fun crowd. Here she is with her oldest daughter, K. I have know K all her life and Nora loved her so when she was a baby. K's an elementary teacher as well as a former Peace Corp volunteer, long distance cyclist and marathoner. M's other daughter M, sang at our wedding. Her son B was came home from his job in Florida just in time for the party. M & her husband J will join us in Machiasport ME this summer for some days, their first trip to our summer house.
