HRH at RYS

A big day for the Cowes Royal Yacht Squadron as it celebrated it's Bicentenary.

Taken from the local paper report-
ROYALTY from around the world descended on Cowes today for the 200th anniversary celebrations for the Royal Yacht Squadron.
The Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip, admiral of the Royal Yacht Squadron, carried out a Fleet Review of around 180 boats moored off Cowes.
He was on board a Royal Navy patrol boat for the review, which included a visit by the Royal Navy frigate HMS Northumberland.
Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, a patron of Cowes-based UKSA, and Prince Michael of Kent also joined the celebrations.
They were joined by foreign royals including King Harald of Norway and Prince Henrik of Denmark,

I joined the crowds at the RYS headquarters at Cowes Castle to see HRH Princess Anne board a tender to take her out into the Solent to view the fleet of 200 decorated yachts. The Duke of Edinburgh was aboard HMS Ranger to review the Fleet together with the assembled royalty. He is aboard P 293 in the extras.
Also in the extras is a pic of Viscount Linley and a 10 shot stitched hand held panorama of the fleet. The pano will probably not show too much in blip but on the big screen the detail is amazing,
