Wote Street Willy

I travelled down to Basingstoke in Hampshire with our daughter and granddaughter, to visit my Mum and sister. They haven't seen baby Jessica for a while.

The journey seemed to take forever as there are long stretches of roadworks with 50 mph speed limits on both the M1 and M3.

We walked into town for a few bits for tea and I stopped to take a couple of shots - including this! It is one of several 'art installations' around the town, however soon after it was put up it was christened the "Wote Street Willy" after the street in which it sits.

I have included an extra photo - taken pointing up the ceiling of the big new shopping centre - shortly after taking this I received a tap on the shoulder from "security" and was asked to stop taking photos for counter-terrorism reasons!
